On Christmas Day a new movie “Marley and Me” will be released in theaters. It is John Grogan’s best-selling book “Marley and Me” about his unruly but yet so lovable dog Marley. This book has made grown women and even grown me shed a tear. So it will also make you shed a tear in the movie theater. If you are a true animal lover then you will surely love this movie and the book even more.
According to Extra Entertainment News 20th Century Fox has shot the movie very true to the book in hopes that the box office will do really well with this movie. It is a true story that John Grogan wrote about the life he had with his dog Marley. John Grogan is played by Owen Wilson is a newspaper writer who marries a journalist played by Jennifer Aniston. They are newly married, and before they settle down and have children they want to see what it would be like to care and raise a puppy. They pick a Yellow Labrador puppy and name him Marley after Bob Marley. This puppy takes over their lives. The film will show the 14 years as the Grogran’s also add three children to their lives. Throughout the movie Marley gets thrown out of obedience school, chews up the couch, is afraid of thunderstorms, and does so many other crazy things, but yet is completely loyal, and loves the Grogan family.
This movie is truly beautifully made, and it has a very touching ending. The author John Grogan says that he was so thrilled to see this movie on the big screen; it took a while for the movie to actually sink in. He was a little numb seeing a movie about his life and his dog.
