

Maureen McCormick the child actress who played Marcia Brady in “The Brady Bunch”, the television series that lasted from 1969 to 1974 will be releasing her new memoir this coming Tuesday. She was “Miss Perfect”, and the wholesome girl next door on the Brady Bunch. According to Extra Entertainment News she will "tell all" in this book. She writes about her drug addiction, and depression. She also writes about her childhood life and the ordeal she had to face with her real father abusing and cheating on her mother. Then as a teenager she was hiding behind Marcia Brady. Her life as a teenager was so miserable, but she hid it so well that no one knew. She talks about her intimate romance with Barry Williams (Greg Brady – her older brother on the Brady Bunch), and she also went on many dates with Michael Jackson and Steve Martin.
When the Brady Bunch ended in 1974, Maureen McCormick was 14 years old that’s when she started with the party scene. She was bingeing on cocaine, and Quaaludes, orgies at the Playboy mansion, had an unwanted pregnancy, and even went as far as trading drugs for sexual favors. She literally ruined her life. She did land a few movie roles after the Brady Bunch, but then it was discovered that she had a very bad unreliable reputation because of her addiction to drugs. Celebrity News reports that at one time she had an interview with Stephen Spielberg and the interview was ruined because she was so high on drugs.
In 1985 she attended rehab along with therapy to help her sober up. Her friends from the “Brady” cast also were in her life to help her fight depression, and help her with her drug addiction. The book is called “Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice.
