Celine Dion had a concert on Monday night at Madison Square Garden, in New York City. According to Extra Entertainment News. This had to be the worst performance ever for this skinny 40 year old diva. She had absolutely no power, and no passion in her voice like you would hear on her CD’s. Celine did not put her heart and soul into any of her songs. Her concert was so bland that it resulted with no one really getting goose bumps when she hits those high notes; no one had shivers down their spines. It was so boring that the two hours felt like it was four hours long.
Celebrity News reports that Celine Dion has sold over 200 million records over the past two decades. She has such a powerful and, strong voice in the studio, but yet when it comes to performing live her voice is not powerful at all. Anyone that attends a concert is looking for fun and excitement. Dion tried to get the audience to stand up out of their seats to upbeat songs, she even begged the audience to even dance in their seats. But those songs did absolutely nothing. Everyone just sat there.
The only interesting moment throughout the entire concert was Dion’s duet with a 16-year-old Philippine named Charice Pempengco, (whose manager happens to be Oprah Winfrey). They sang “Because You Loved Me”. This teenager blasted some notes with such power and excitement in her voice that the audience went crazy. Celine end the concert with the song from the Titanic. This song was the best song she sang the entire night.
