Oprah Winfrey is now 55 years old, and she has recently made her decision about quitting the show after putting a lot of thought and prayers into it.
Oprah will continue to host the Oprah Winfrey Show until the end of its 25 season in 2011. It will be a total of 25 years of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Oprah says that 25 years feels right for her. She started thinking about when the show first started, and what a success the show has become. The show gave her such great success.
Oprah is expected to start a new talk show on her own cable television network. The network will be based in California which means that she will have to move from the East coast to the West coast. Her cuurent show is aired in Chicago. This new network will air in 145 countries worldwide, and will be watched by an estimated 42 million viewers a week in the U.S. alone. The Network will be called OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network). OWN will replace the Discovery Health Channel, and it will debut in 74 million homes. CBS will truly miss working with Oprah, and they will enjoy the little time they have left with her. They are hoping that maybe they will do business again with her afterwards, and wish her much success.
